JT received his Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School. He earned an Executive MBA from Vanderbilt University and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. JT began his career at GE in their acclaimed Edison Engineering Program and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Quality Leader. He was recruited to Philips in 2005 and established the North America service operations team. JT led the $1.4B North America Services business before being asked to serve as Philips North America COO.
In 2019, JT was called to leave the corporate space to serve his community and started Lighthouse Executive Coaching to help leaders unlock their potential. He serves on the boards for Junior Achievement of Portland and is Chairman of the board for Global Scholars. JT also serves in a leadership position for Bible Study Fellowship. He and his wife have three children, ages 28 to 33. The family is active in their church and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, tennis, water, and snow skiing.
