Dr. Stephen M. Garrett was recently Associate Professor of Philosophy and Religion at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Vilnius, Lithuania and now serves as Curriculum Vice-President for Global Scholars. He leads an international team to develop resources and curriculum that equip and encourage Christian professors to bring the gospel to bear organically in their teaching, research, and administration. He has published on the theological aesthetics of Hans Urs von Balthasar and continues to explore the nexus of theology and the political via aesthetics in his current research into late modern philosophy of art and 20th century personalism. He holds a B Sin Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy, a Masters of Divinity and Th.M. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he studied under Kevin Vanhoozer.
Steve and his wife, Rebecca, live in Texas with their teenage son.
