Serving in Strategic Academic Roles Worldwide
Global Scholars began in 1986 by placing Christian professors from the United States in secular universities worldwide.
However, beginning around 2010, there were fewer positions available for U.S. scholars in many countries, and the positions available could easily be found online. At the same time, more and more Christian professors already teaching in their own nations were asking us to help them be more effective for Christ.
We continue to serve as a sending agency for a small number of these legacy professors (fellows) who are still teaching with us. When new professors from the United States connect with us about serving internationally, we now connect them with partner agencies for sending services.
It is a privilege for our family to be sent as Fellows through Global Scholars to serve internationally at our university. When we felt God's call to “go to all the world,” we were convinced that serving in this international university where "all the world comes to us" was the way he was asking us to use our academic gifts. Global Scholars has truly allowed us to thrive in our work here, by providing a network of like-minded professors and academics, providing access to databases and seminars and Christ-centered resources for many different academic disciplines, and providing safe financial platforms for our ministry financial supporters.
